The Spanish-styled courtyard setting is perfect for a variety of outdoor events. Tree-lined walkways and lush ground cover add a refreshing touch of comfort. Beginning in 2008, Villa Hispana underwent a complete $2.3 million renovation that addressed a decades-long need for a major facelift. Completed just before the 2009 New Mexico State Fair, the new Villa Hispana is an open-air venue that rivals any amphitheatre in the state.
Improvements and renovations to Villa Hispana included new professional outdoor performance stage, covered seating area for 600, new permanent dressing rooms and office, new landscaping and site lighting, bus and trailer parking, fire protection system for safety, complete wheelchair access throughout the village, new stucco, new roofs, new ceilings and lights in vendor spaces, new storefront doors for vendors, new power and lighting.
