State Fair Commission

EXPO New Mexico, the property that is home to the New Mexico State Fair, is governed by a seven-member policy making board appointed by the Governor. The New Mexico State Fair Commission is organized to set policy and ensure the success of the annual event while providing leadership and direction for the year round operation. EXPO New Mexico – the State Fair – is an enterprise agency of the State of New Mexico and must generate all funds necessary for maintneance, operation of the facilities, and the employment of staff. Capital improvement funds can be authorized and appropriated by the Governor and the State Legislature.
